I think you'll find they're actually 120V DC, as in the
Sputniks. That makes then "low voltage", not "extra low voltage", and therefore
subject to the same rules and requirements as 240 V AC systems. (AS3000 - The
SAA wiring Rules - defines "extra low voltage" as not exceeding 32 V AC 115 V
DC.
