A few of us have been saying for a long time now, that
the States, Queensland excepted, MUST be removed from
non urban rail.

But the Feds have to make a big dollar commitment for
it to work.  With a multitude of Private Operators the
National Network infrastructure must always remain with
the Government to ensure a fair go for all Operators.

It will be the best and fairest outcome and about the
only way rail will survive.
