RAILWAY TERMINOLOGY
Does anyone know if there is a name for the place where two
railway routes diverge without there being a junction there?
E.G. In Sydney, where the Metropolitan Goods line diverges
from the Bankstown line between Campsie and Belmore, or in Melbourne where the
line to South Yarra diverges from the line to Lilydale between Richmond and East
Richmond?
