Get the mop, bucket, hot water, detergent, rags. Sweep the floor, mop
the floor. Wait for it to dry - or you have the same problem all over
again. Clean the windows and instrument panel.................

He said *trust me* he must be telling the truth. Would you buy a used
loco off this man? :-) I thought computer rooms were supposed to be
spotless at all times, including filtered, temperature controlled air.

Yes. Then driver then goes home after his maybe 10 or 11 hour shift.

Depends how cold it is, sometimes over an hour. The Driver and Fireman
get 15, 18 or 20 minutes to prep the loco for departure.

It's already (usually) warmed up when he gets there? If not he's
restricted to 1 or 2 notch til it's warmed up.

And back to my original answer, it's not the driver's it's management
and cleaners. And fitters - someone will vacuum a cab seat, then the
fitter will sit in it with his dirty overalls, then stand on it to do
something.
