Little Things

When you travel around the state you notices the little things just
how run down the railway are in Victoria. Well each day I travel through
a railway crossing a Regent and the booms have has two flashing lights out
for some two weeks now and the near bye station is unmanned. The boom
barrier also need a painting as well it may be a trivia matter. But I
was trained in the sixty as electrical signal fitter and any failure of
booms/flasher was treated with prompt attention matter how small the fault
was( on the grounds of pulblic safety). Maintaince is always first area
of cut back in staff and funding until there is a major disaster.
While the two small lamps out is a little thing it also show the state of
maintaince within the railways.
