The building was erected by the lines construction contractor, Keane, and was 
last in use in the late 1970's.
A concerted effort by The Orroroo Goods Shed Committee, with strong local 
support, failed in their bid to prevent the demolition. SACBH ( the states grain 
handling body) declared that the building had to come down for OHS reasons. In 
its place will go modern silos.
A memorial/model is to be erected in the area south of the railway line, 
bordered by the water tower/ Pit and the station building.
	The remaining structures along the line in usable condition are the the former 
station masters residence at Black Rock, Orroroo station building, though this 
may be under threat as a residential facility, Eurelia Goods and pump Shed, 
Carrieton Gang residence and station building, a couple of fettlers cottages at 
Hammond and Bruce railway station. Quorn remains the most complete station/yard 
on the line.
