This is not the first time that a new timetable in Sydney has not been up to
scratch. Many years ago when I was visiting Sydney, I was waiting for a train
at Wynyard to go up the North Shore, and I had to wait for about 5 trains to
go through before one came that was going to stop where I wanted to get off.
The problem was that not enough time was allowed for a journey and as a result
they were running most trains express North Sydney to Hornsby to get them back
on time! Needless to say, as soon as I left Sydney, they reinstated to old
timetable, and things went smoothly again.
