 Hi Danielle Colless
The Granville train disaster did happen in 1977
with a 46 class electric locomotive on the front of it. I really don't know the
really story is but it's believed that the train was running late and with worn
wheels on 4620 and high speed doe's not mix. Just before the overpass 4620 left
the rails and rolled on it's side, knocked out a support beam under the
overpass. I'm not too sure if the overpass collaped on the spot.
