Re: Platform 18, Central Station... When are they gunna get some seats, please?
I'm dead serious. Not every train that departs from there is going my way.
And I was carrying a sleeping toddler, and my elderly mother-in-law, who was
with us, is very frail and we had to wait 15 mins standing and getting
jostled like that and all the other platforms around us had seats and this
one USED TO have seats. And we got pushed and shoved by all the footy fans
who were in a hurry going to another platform so they gould get to watch a
footy game where the home team gave away the game in the first five minutes
without even so much as blushing in front of reputed 120 thousand people.
And all these CityRail people (wearing bright yellow CityRail coats) were
smiling and just standing about watching the jostling, even standing at the
top of the stairs partially blocking them so that the people trying to get
up onto the crowded platform (like my family and me) had to push past the
staff as well as the footy mob going the other way.
Central Station Sux.
Dad.
