R711's adventures today

R711 successfully put a piston thru the cylinder cover this morning's down
Warrnambool pass.  This in turn destroyed a significant portion of the valve
gear.  The R is currently cast aside at Colac.

Oh well, at least I went to Warrnambool by Class 'R' *once* this year...

While we are on defective R classes, what happened to R761 last weekend?

(You'd think they'd see the light and use powerful modern diesel electric
locomotives...) |-)
